About
Ten By Ten Logistics is a one-of-a-kind third-party logistics provider based in Brooklyn, NY.
We provide a more affordable and reliable way for farmers and small producers in the Northeast to sell at farmers markets in and around NYC.
Farmers markets probably won’t “disrupt the food system,” but they could work better for customers, makers, farmers, farm workers, and market workers.
Whether you’re a third-generation farmer or a couple pals making salsa, we want you to be a sustainable business based on direct customer relationships, without doing every last thing yourself, or giving up more control or margin than you can afford to.
We aren’t distributors or retailers, we aren’t a food hub, we aren’t a “startup”. We charge flat rates for reliable service. The story is still yours, we just want to be a part of it.
Logistics
We help make your markets happen
At the most basic level, we store just your gear, drop it at market in the AM, pick it up at the end of the day.
At most, we’d check, restock & maintain that gear, and handle all your product. That means receiving and packing per market, storing leftovers and turning them over for the next market, or reporting on inventory so you can restock.
Market Management
We help make your markets incredible
Usually in addition to the above, we can also take responsibility for your whole sales operation. We take over 15 years of NYC food Industry experience, 10 of those in the markets, and treat your business like its our own.
You tell us your production capacity and limitations, we help you choose the right markets, find the right people to work them, and keep your stands looking beautiful and run smoothly.
Every business’ needs are different. We can make your markets operate as smoothly as if they were a wholesale account, leaving you to work other markets, or just focus on production.
We work with brand-new businesses just launching in the markets, and producers ready to step away from the day-to-day.
Wholesale Delivery
Whether it’s a shop around the corner, a standing order to a guy in Queens, or you’re looking to grow but you don’t know your options, we can help.
Peter Henry launched Ten By Ten Logistics in 2019 after five years of selling cheese and running stands in NYC’s Greenmarkets.
Two years after selling his first piece of cheese, he’d tripled annual market revenue for Consider Bardwell Farm, before moving onto national sales and marketing. In 2018, he helped Walnut Hill Farm launch as Greenmarket’s first salami-mostly pig farmer, and now helps them attend weekly markets with a loyal following and a permanent staff of NYC-based market workers.
Before all that, he worked front of house at Blue Hill NYC, wrote a weekly roundup of Heritage Radio Network shows for Eater, and was once fired from a Brooklyn farm-to-table restaurant for losing control of a cider cork.
